David Webb joins Equifax as chief information officer

Equifax Inc. (NYSE: EFX), today announced the appointment of David C. Webb as its Chief Information Officer. Webb will join the company's Senior Leadership Team and will report directly to its Chairman and CEO Richard F. Smith. Webb's primary responsibility will be to drive the company's global technology strategy and to champion the development of innovative solutions for customers.

Webb, a veteran of the IT and financial services industries, brings more than 25 years' experience to Equifax. His career encompasses a number of prestigious Fortune 100 companies including Goldman Sachs, Bank One Corporation, and GE Capital. As well, he has worked in strategic, client-facing roles with companies such as Decision Consultants and GE Consulting Services. Most recently, Webb was Chief Operations Officer for Silicon Valley Bank headquartered in Santa Clara, CA, where he led the team in defining the company's IT strategy to support its global expansion efforts, drive revenue, and increase productivity gains and cost-savings through the effective leveraging of technology. His responsibilities as that company's COO included oversight for IT, banking operations, outsourcing and off-shoring efforts, facilities, physical and information security, performance management, and disaster recovery/business continuity planning.

Webb, who will relocate to Atlanta, holds a BA from London University and a MBA from Northwestern University's JL Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
