Bankers' Almanac, a global provider of banking reference data and Petra Financial, a leading provider of payments automation software have agreed on a strategic partnership to deliver innovative reference data solutions for the financial markets.

Bankers' Almanac will utilise Petra Financial's market-leading software applications to launch a range of new products including a revolutionary mobile application for correspondent banking and a BBAN-to-IBAN conversion solution.

Previews of the first Bankers' Almanac products, powered by Petra Financial, will be unveiled at Sibos in Hong Kong during 14-18 September 2009.

Alastair Brigg, Digital Publisher of Bankers' Almanac comments, "Increasingly, customers are looking to Bankers' Almanac to provide innovative ways of accessing its must-have data. By employing Petra Financial's highly intelligent software, we can deliver services to our customers in new ways. Bankersalmanac.com's mobile application promises to revolutionise the way relationship managers can access data on their counterparties. Whilst, the BBAN-to-IBAN conversion is an incredibly timely solution given the upcoming cross border direct debit mandates."

David Sinclair, CEO of Petra Financial said, "Bankers' Almanac is the most established reference data resource for the global financial markets so it is a great accolade that they have chosen to market new services using our solutions. We are committed to developing software applications that are designed with users in mind. Our mobile platforms are rapidly establishing themselves as the mobile financial platform of choice, whilst our Vortex solutions enable complicated data structures to be turned into powerful, useful, and timely business services."

John Burton, Marketing and Sales Director of Petra Financial added, "Bankers' Almanac is the longest established reference point for the banking industry, with many correspondent bankers reliant on the data; but often away from the office travelling. Providing a mobile service that also includes information about the relevant country, travel and local services together with the correspondent financial data is a compelling proposition."
