Nyse Euronext names Ronald Kent head, international listings, Emea and Asia

Nyse Euronext today announced the appointment of Ronald Kent as Executive Vice President, Head of International Listings, for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Asia.

"Ronnie understands very well the needs of our listings clients, having served as advisor to companies and their shareholders in the Americas, EMEA and Asia. We look forward to putting Ronnie's experience at the service of NYSE Euronext's existing and future clients around the world," said Duncan Niederauer, NYSE Euronext Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Kent joins NYSE Euronext from Goldman Sachs where he was a Managing Director, and prior to which he was a Managing Director with Morgan Stanley. Over more than 20 years in investment banking, he has held senior positions in the Investment Banking, Global Capital Markets and Institutional Equities and Derivatives businesses of Goldman Sachs or Morgan Stanley. Mr. Kent has been based in the United States, Asia and Europe and has advised corporate and government clients in both developed and emerging markets in those regions.

"We look forward to Ronnie's contributions to growing our international listings businesses beyond our domestic markets, and building our list of international companies in EMEA and Asia," added Roland Bellegarde, NYSE Euronext Group Executive Vice President and Head of European Execution.

Prior to Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley, Mr. Kent was a lawyer with the New York law firm of Sullivan & Cromwell.
