TietoEnator is very pleased to announce that Swedbank adds to the list of ProScan customers.

"Ensuring compliance with international and domestic regulations to identify suspect payment transactions and customer records, has been given very high attention and priority by our bank," says Leif Karlsson, Head of Product Management, Payments, Swedbank. "Swedbank will start using ProScan to scan online payment transactions, and the ability to scan high volumes of payment transactions in real-time, was an important criteria in the selection of ProScan. The user-configurable and flexible workflow management will allow our users to organise and handle suspicious cases efficiently and securely according to their own internal procedures. ProScan met all our requirements both from a functional and technical perspective. We look forward to expanding our existing relationship with TietoEnator in the payments area," concludes Mr. Karlsson.

Mr Jon Alvar Øyasæter, Senior Vice President, Payment Solutions in TietoEnator, says, "ProScan has been a natural and important extension of our competitive payments portfolio. Working in partnership with international banks such as Swedbank and Handelsbanken proves that ProScan can serve various types of business in advanced multi-banking environments."

Seperately, TietoEnator has announced that on the 4th of March 2006, DnB NOR went live with ProPay release 4.0 and several supporting components from TietoEnator's Payment Suite. DnB NOR has chosen TietoEnator's solution to facilitate integration of multiple payment processes into one. TietoEnator's solution has enabled the bank to fulfill its goal, process international payments through an industrial standard software solution offered by a well known vendor and have the cost sharing on future developments needed in order to be in the international payments market.

Ms Liv Fiksdal, Head of Payment Operations in DnB NOR says, "ProPay is already proven in several large European banks. Due to DnB NOR requirements we have developed a number of new functionalities and are now offering an even broader degree of flexibility and functionality in the ProPay solution.

"ProPay replaces three existing payment solutions in DnB NOR. The go-live in March migrated all payments from the 'NOR' part of the merged bank onto ProPay, and was the first important milestone in a roll-out plan scheduled to be completed this year.

"ProPay release 4.0 was already nearly SEPA compliant and we are very satisfied that TietoEnator is continuing work towards full SEPA compliance. It contains all the new requirements for SEPA credit transfers, including EBA STEP2, TARGET2, BIC&IBAN, CredEuro, etc. Even though Norway is outside the EURO zone, we have branches that are inside the EURO zone. This, and the fact that Norway is part of the EEA, allows DnB NOR to be an active member of the SEPA community.
DnB NOR is also using its new payment platform to offer payment services to a number of partner banks."

Ms Fiksdal continues: "We went live after an intensive period of testing. We have managed to keep to the project time frames, due to DnB NOR's strict project control and not least the personal dedication and professional skills of the project members from both TietoEnator and DnB NOR. Failure has not been an option for us. We now look forward to the final roll-out of the DnB-leg of the payment operation later this year."

Ms Fiksdal concludes, "DnB NOR is looking forward to continued cooperation with TietoEnator as our strategic partner within international payments and we will keep on being a demanding customer. We are also pleased to act as reference for any banks considering TietoEnator as provider of a new payment platform."

In addition to the main components of ProPay and ProSwitch, the implementation in DnB NOR also includes the STP repair solution ProRepair, the matching engine ProMatch, as well as the common data repository, ProDirectory. It also includes ProClaims, which TietoEnator is in the process of upgrading according to DnB NOR’s requirements.
