The application is available for all Samsung Smart TV compatible devices, including televisions, Blu-ray players and Home Cinemas connected to the Internet.

La Caixa customers that use such Samsung devices will be able to access their accounts, check balances and view recent movements using the TV remote.

The move sees La Caixa open an additional channel to Línea Abierta, its online banking platform, which can currently be accessed via computers, mobile telephones and tablets.

La Caixa is the leader in Spain's online banking market, with a market share of 30.2% according to the latest research from Nielsen.
