Transaction Network Services (TNS), Inc. (NYSE:TNS), a premier network and data communications provider for transaction-oriented applications and TSX Datalinx, the market data operation of TSX Group Inc. (TSX:X), today announced a relationship in which TNS will serve as one of TSX's managed network providers.

Under the terms of the agreement, the TNS network will deliver Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange Canadian market data to destinations around the world.

The addition of the equity exchanges of TSX Group marks eight North American exchanges to take advantage of TNS' superior network capability. In addition to TSX Group, TNS also serves as a managed network provider to other North American Stock Exchanges.

"Market data continues to be a critical part of the electronic trade process," said Alan Schwartz, executive vice president and general manager of TNS' Financial Services Division. "This agreement is a tremendous opportunity for TNS to support TSX's efforts. Based on our experience, technological expertise and reliable far-reaching network, TSX has entrusted TNS with this critical business function."

TNS' network capabilities focus on providing rapid and secure service that supports the flow of financial information and transactions among global communities of interest. Its secure IP network enables financial institutions to safely and quickly exchange transaction-oriented data using industry standard IP protocols. In addition, TNS provides exchanges and their trading partners with increased visibility, reliability and redundancy, key issues in the increasingly mission critical status of market data.

"At TSX Group, we continue to look for ways to expand the access options and visibility of trading information on our marketplaces," said Eric Sinclair, Senior Vice President of TSX Datalinx, the market data operation of TSX Group Inc. "The drive to provide faster, more powerful, reliable networks capable of distributing mission critical data is a challenge being faced by all leading international exchanges." He added, "TNS' network allows us to enhance the visibility and reach of our market data to clients around the world."

TNS' Financial Service Division (FSD) offers a secure, private network, which enables the movement of market data, IP voice services (ARDs, MRDs and Hoot and Hollers) and instantaneous trade transactions without the potential latency and security risks associated with Internet based trading applications.
