Nomura opens Swedish software development centre

Nomura snapped up Lehmans' European and Middle Eastern equities and investment banking operations, along with its Asia Pacific franchise, in September after the US bank's bankruptcy.

The centre will employ all 34 ex-Lehman Brothers IT services staff in the country. Jonas Kroger, who spent five years at the helm of Lehman Brothers' Swedish IT business, will head up the new operation.
