Nyse Euronext says it is launching a new "routing and price improvement service" that will provide users of its Arca electronic trading platform with access to non-displayed liquidity.Nyse Euronext says through the addition of routing to participating broker-dealers and alternative trading systems, investors using the system can access non-displayed quotes.
The new routing service will initially provide access to 29 destinations, which the exchange has not named. The service will also increase the potential for filling order and for price improvement, says Nyse Euronext.
"Providing easy and efficient access to these diverse, non-displayed liquidity venues is an extension of our commitment to offer the greatest array of services," adds Lawrence Leibowitz, group EVP and head of US markets and global technology, Nyse Euronext. "We are reducing fragmentation and offering our clients greater speed, better prices and equality of access to liquidity."
