Vasco Data Security (Nasdaq: VDSI), a leading software security company specializing in authentication products, and SecurIT, a leading systems integrator in the Identity & Access Management space in Europe, today announce that Vasco authentication has been integrated into TrustBuilder, SecurIT's framework allowing multiple authentication for IBM Tivoli Access Manager.
SecurIT is natively integrating VACMAN Controller into TrustBuilder.
SecurIT's TrustBuilder is a modular framework built around a powerful and configurable routing engine. Its design enables the use of multiple authentication mechanisms in parallel through plugs-ins. The authentication flow is fully configurable and is managed by the routing engine. VASCO's authentication platform VACMAN Controller has been integrated into TrustBuilder in order to provide seamless support for all VASCO DIGIPASS authenticators for Tivoli Access Manager (TAM). In addition, VASCO DIGIPASS-related information is included in TAM's native LDAP user directory.
The integration between VASCO DIGIPASS and TAM supports the use of DIGIPASS dynamic passwords and e-Signatures. It uses the VACMAN Controller API (Application Programming Interface) within the TrustBuilder module to verify these one-time passwords (OTP) and e-Signatures generated by the DIGIPASS. The OTP replaces the use of static passwords and efficiently combats Internet fraud.
"We are pleased to integrate VASCO's authentication into our TrustBuilder. The customers who have already invested in Web Access Management software solution from IBM Tivoli can now benefit from strong authentication from VASCO. Through the integration customers benefit from high level security," says Marc Vanmaele, CEO at SecurIT.
"The partnership with SecurIT reinforces VASCO's position in the IBM-sphere. They have acquired a leading position on the European market as a systems integrator in the Identity & Access Management space. We are convinced that our joined efforts will make authentication accessible for a vast number of customers," says Jan Valcke, President and COO at VASCO Data Security.
