Bank of Hawaii rolls out Everbridge emergency notification system

Everbridge, the world's recognized leader in incident notification systems, today announced that the Bank of Hawaii has implemented the Everbridge Aware emergency notification system to enhance business continuity communications, automate critical communications and to communicate during pandemics, such as the H1N1 (swine flu) outbreak.

After evaluating seven incident notification system vendors, the Bank of Hawaii committee selected Everbridge for value and ease of use. Numerous business units within the bank now leverage the Everbridge Aware system for both emergency applications -- to disseminate time-sensitive communications to ensure the safety of its 2,500 employees in more than 140 locations throughout Hawaii, American Samoa, Guam, Saipan, and Palau -- and day-to-day operations.

"By using Everbridge on a regular basis for business continuity and day-to-day operations, the bank has realized improved communication flow and significant time savings," said Raymond Trombley, Corporate Business Continuity Manager for the Bank of Hawaii. "Being proactive in our communications and providing regular updates instills confidence in our preparation and the ability to handle the situation as it develops."

"As Hawaii's largest independent bank, the Bank of Hawaii's ability to maintain business continuity during emergencies and disasters is critical," said Cinta Putra, Chief Executive Officer for Everbridge. "We are pleased to play a central role in the Bank of Hawaii's communication plan and applaud the bank's commitment to developing, implementing, testing, and maintaining an effective business continuity program to protect the health and safety of its employees and ensure the continuity of operations and service."
