Sophis, a leading provider of cross-asset, front-to-back portfolio & risk management solutions, today announced that it has appointed Paul Bosson as its new Chief Financial Officer.
Paul joins Sophis following a career as a CFO / Finance Director spanning several private equity-backed businesses and blue chip organisations.
At Sophis, Paul will have three key areas of responsibility: leading Sophis' finance team to support the company's global operations and in particular ensuring the business is scalable to support future growth; providing financial and commercial leadership to Sophis' business operations around the world; and leading potential M&A activity in the medium term.
Paul Bosson comments: "Sophis is an enormously successful and profitable software business that is growing rapidly, despite the current economic conditions. This role presents tremendous opportunities to work alongside our CEO Pascal Xatart to lead a global finance operation that will support future growth. It's always exciting to work with private equity backed businesses because they operate in a dynamic and fast-moving environment and require close working relationships with the CEO, investors and banks."
Another attraction of this role will be the opportunity to operate globally, says Paul. "We have offices all over the world, including North America, the Far East, Middle East and Europe - it will be very stimulating to work with such an international team."
Paul qualified as a chartered accountant with Price Waterhouse and gained an MBA from Henley Management College after studying for a degree in engineering at Imperial College, London. He worked for a number of blue chip organisations such as Telstra and BT before working as CFO in a series of private equity-backed technology companies including Euphony, OAG and RedPrairie.
Pascal Xatart, CEO of Sophis, says: "We are delighted to welcome Paul to the senior management team at Sophis. He has a great deal of experience working with global organisations as well as private equity backed software companies. His skills and expertise will help us build the global framework wework we need to sustain future international growth."
Paul is married with three children and lives in Beaconsfield. His outside interests include training for and competing in triathlon events; power boating and listening to classical music.
