ViVOtech adds Don Kingsborough to the board

Silicon Valley-based ViVOtech, the leader in Near Field Communication (NFC) mobile payment and promotions and contactless payment systems, today announced that Don Kingsborough has been named to its Board of Directors.

Currently the chief executive officer and founder of Blackhawk Network, Kingsborough brings more than 25 years of technology leadership and innovation to ViVOtech.

Donald Kingsborough founded Blackhawk Network in 2001. Since that time, he has established Blackhawk Network as the definitive leader in sales of third-party prepaid card products. Prior to establishing Blackhawk Network, Mr. Kingsborough founded and served as chief executive officer of toy manufacturer Worlds of Wonder, Inc., where he created a multi-million-dollar new industry category and propelled this start-up business to one of the nation's fastest growing companies in just two years achieving more than $320 million revenue in the company's second year. Earlier in his career, Kingsborough led the consumer products division at Atari Corporation where he led the introduction of the sales phenomenon Nintendo to America growing sales from zero to more than $2 billion in four years.

His marketing achievements have been chronicled in the Harvard Business Review and numerous business books.
