RTS Realtime Systems Group (RTS), a leading independent software vendor (ISV), announced the promotion of four senior-level employees, effective immediately.

Mark van Vugt has been promoted to Managing Director, Continental Europe. John Dempsey and Mirjana Zuro have each been named Vice President, Business Development, and Christophe Rilinger was named Vice President, Marketing and Communications.

"We have experienced extraordinary growth in the past year, and as we continue to build our presence worldwide, we are pleased to promote these individuals based in our key markets," said Steffen Gemuenden, co-CEO of RTS.

In his new role, van Vugt is responsible for sales in Continental Europe. He spent 14 years at Euronext, where he served in several capacities on the options trading floor and as senior commercial manager. He has held positions with various software companies in back-office and front-office operations. Van Vugt set up RTS' Amsterdam office in 2001.

Dempsey, formerly Manager, Business Development, is based in the RTS U.S. headquarters in Chicago. He joined in late 2005 and is responsible for strategic partnerships and management of relationships with exchanges across the globe.

Zuro is responsible for worldwide operations of RTS' state-of-the-art data center facilities and proximity services. Currently assigned to the London office, she joined RTS in late 2007 as Business Development Manager. She has held several senior positions in the software industry in Singapore, Sydney and the United Kingdom.

Rilinger joined RTS in late 2005 as Manager, Marketing and Communications, based in the firm's worldwide headquarters in Frankfurt. He transferred to Chicago in 2007 when RTS decided to strategically relocate key global functions, including Marketing and Global Sales, to its U.S. headquarters in Chicago.
