US bank renews Visa card deal

U.S. Bank and Visa Inc. announced today that they have signed a multiyear partnership agreement through which U.S. Bank will continue to offer the full range of Visa payment platforms to its consumer and business customers.

Under terms of the deal, U.S. Bank will continue to issue Visa-branded credit products, including Visa Signature, Visa's premium consumer credit card targeting affluent consumers. The agreement also covers the issuance of Visa debit, prepaid and commercial products across the United States.

"U.S. Bank customers expect us to provide them with products and services that are tailored to their specific lifestyle or business needs," said Pamela Joseph, vice chairman for U.S. Bancorp and head of its payments businesses. "Visa has been working with U.S. Bank for many years now to deliver credit, account access and prepaid card products that deliver convenience, rewards and security to our consumer and business customers nationally."
