Systemware, Inc., the leading enterprise content management (ECM) company, and Fidelity National Information Services, Inc., (NYSE: FIS), the leading provider of technology solutions to the financial services industry, today announced a partnership agreement to integrate Systemware's world-class content management technology into FIS' extensive suite of banking applications.

Together, the combined offering will provide FIS' worldwide banking clients an end-to-end, high-value solution for becoming paperless.

Several of the largest and most well-known U.S. financial institutions have begun moving towards a paperless banking environment in order to reduce costs, increase customer service and better meet today's complex regulatory guidelines. However, while a paperless environment fosters a simpler banking system, making the transition from paper-based documents to an electronic format is a complex process involving the integration of multiple technologies and disparate data sources as well as numerous accounting and regulatory hurdles.

Together, the combined Systemware and FIS solution provides a powerful offering to enable the paperless bank. By integrating Systemware's best-in-class content management technology with FIS' industry-leading banking, card processing and mortgage software, FIS can offer a completely integrated, end-to-end solution for managing enterprise content and transaction processes in a unified customer relationship view.

"Systemware and FIS have a long and proven history of successfully serving the needs of many of the largest financial institutions in the world," said Madi Mantha, senior analyst in the banking group at Celent Communications. "Together, these companies provide complementary technologies that can assist financial institutions in reducing costs, increasing efficiencies and addressing regulatory guidelines."

"Systemware's Centraspect FS solution is an exceptional complement to our banking solutions, providing quality content management and ease of integration with our processes and data," said John Gordon, president of FIS' Leveraged Product Development group. "We are delighted to announce our alliance with Systemware, as we believe our customers will benefit greatly from this new, expanded offering."

Centraspect FS is Systemware's suite of applications built upon an industry-leading content management solution and developed specifically for banking and financial services companies to improve internal efficiencies, address compliance regulations and reduce operational costs by automating manual, paper-based systems for managing critical customer information. As the only solution that provides scaleable, multiplatform support to manage all types of banking documents, it enables banks of all sizes to extend the capabilities of existing applications and improve information access and distribution across the enterprise and to customers.

"Leveraging our shared service-oriented architecture, the Systemware and FIS combined solution eliminates the silos of information that many banks face today when trying to deliver quality customer service," said Frankie Basso, vice president of marketing, Systemware. "Just as check imaging has accelerated cash flow in the banking system, Systemware and FIS can now deliver an end-to-end solution that delivers similar benefits for all the other documents required for building stronger customer relationships."
