Global processing is a phenomenon that is gaining momentum every day, and the results for banks that have already taken steps towards globalisation are impressive.
When one large bank recently standardised its processes over just three branches, its costs were reduced by US$7 million within a single year; another worldwide bank, using global processing to reduce processing costs, achieved well in excess of UK£12 million per annum reduction.
But how does a bank standardise across the globe while still complying with a host of disparate regulations and offering the best, tailored service it can in each separate location?
