Finextra App Trends

It's been interesting to see trends emerge for the Finextra apps that we have on the market, which in turn gives us a not-very-scientific insight into the Finextra Readership.

Since we launched the Android app, it has been downloaded a total of 137 times. Overall, it is more popular than the iPhone App which has had 126 downloads - but it's only been available for download since Feb 2012 whereas the android app has been available since October 2011.

If we attempt a like-for-like analysis and take the first 3 weeks data for both apps, the android had 75 installs compared to the iphone's 116 downloads. This does tend to suggest, that for Finextra's readership, that the iphone is the clear leader.

The one thing that I find most surprising is that the count of those who subscribe to the Finextra News via Kindle is less than 10 people! I was surprised as the number of Kindle users on my morning commute seems to be greater than the number of hard-copy book readers. Click here to subscribe to finextra on your Kindle.
