Regulators urged to act on creaking bank technology
Intellect, the trade association for the UK technology sector, has called on financial regulators to force banks to upgrade their legacy IT systems, or risk future financial crises and systems failures.
since exchanges reduce their regulation budget and expected companies to self regulate we have witnessed a huge increase in "market abuse " and manipulation ; I feel the time has come to have independent regulators who are there for the good of the market
