The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has updated its table showing the progress by national regulators in concluding Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) between EU national supervisors with non-EU regulators worldwide in respect to the application
of the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (the AIFM Directive). These MoUs allow the exchange of information between EU and non-EU supervisors and thus enabling non-EU fund managers to market alternative funds within the European Union.
Only regulators in Bulgaria, Greece, Iceland, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuaina, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Sweden, Poland and the UK have signed MoUs with all countries listed.
