Russia moving towards e-invoicing

"On the 26th of December the Prime Minister of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin signed the resolution “About the forms and rules of filling and exchanging documents for VAT management”.

This document established the rules of use of invoices, sales and bough daybooks and a log book both in paper and electronic forms.

Electronic invoices in Russia will be completely legalized when the format of this document will be authorized during the upcoming two weeks"

Banks are taking active part.

How about some more determination in old Europe?

Good move by Russians to bring Electronic Invoicing into the light.  E-invoicing becoming more and more highly valued by World and Government Organizations.

Key reasons why we have to demand all governments to take firm action (deadlines for paper and e-mailed PDFs):

1. save tax payers' money

2. push SMEs across service and process digitalization thresholds

3. collect VAT and other taxes due

4. cut CO2 emissions
