MTFs, Dark pools, primary exchanges - what is your future?

There is still time to register for our upcoming webcast Latency and Liquidity - The future of electronic trading, sponsored by IBM and suppoerted by the FISD.

We have a great panel assembled and we are all geared up up to have a real debate on how to access the best array of liquidity venues in the shortest amount of time. Or to put it another way: "how to execute a sh*t load of trading".

  • Elizabeth Lumley, special projects editor, Finextra (moderator) (Eke!)
  • Keith Bear, director of business development for Financial Markets, IBM
  • Jack Vensel, MD, head of electronic Trading, EMEA, Citi
  • Kee-Meng Tan, MD, Knight
  • Greg Smith, vice chairman of Chi-X Global

The panel and I have been chatting about which areas of electronic trading we should focus on. Expect a lot of chat about various technology, as well as whether we need standards to measure low latency.

With the loss of Nasdaq OMX's Neuro, talk of fragmentation and consolidation will be on the tips of everyone's lips. Also, no talk about liquidity venues in Europe would be complete with a discussion on the Mifid and CESR reviews.

The webcast will go live at 14:00 BST (9:00 ET) this Wednesday, May 12. You can Tweet along with us by following the #finxlive hashtag.
