Hudson & Yorke asks what is the future of the FSA - just a name change?
The Coalition Government has pledged that the financial regulatory system will undergo a significant overhaul. To this end the Financial Services Authority (FSA) is being split into two separate regulators. Only time will tell as to whether the proposals on the table will amount to a significant departure from the current regime, or whether the new watchdog will have a deeper bite. Either way, financial services firms should be prepared.
