HP has entered an alliance with Orbiscom to promote and co-market the Irish company's disposable credit card number and secure payment technology to banks worldwide.

Under the terms of the agreement, the two companies will engage in technical, marketing and sales initiatives to make Orbiscom's Controlled Payment Solutions for online and offline payment authentication available to their respective clients and prospects.

The alliance is based on a history of successful implementations of the Orbiscom platform at leading financial institutions, including Citibank and MBNA.

Nigel Ball, VP of enterprise solution partners at HP, comments: "Our alliance with Orbiscom significantly enhances HP's strategy for cementing a solid foothold in the rapidly growing payment solutions market."
