UK pensions annuity outfit Partnership has become the first financial services brand to launch a Google Cardboard App
The system allows users to turn their smartphones into 3D viewers by downloading the app and using the Google Cardboard mount.
Partnership worked with FTAdviser and virtual reality specialists Rewind to develop an app which includes a 360 degree video demonstrating a 'virtual reality' introduction to the company.
Andrew Megson, managing director of retirement, Partnership says: “At Partnership, we are committed to innovation and finding new ways to interact with our customers and advisers. We were delighted to work with FTAdviser and Rewind FX to create the first financial services Google Cardboard App as we see retirement differently - in 3D in this case."
He says the company plans to further develop the service and add new content to the app over the coming year.
