Sir John Vickers, chairman of the UK's Independent Commission on Banking and architect of a raft of banking reforms, is to be the guest of honour at the next Finextra dinner club event in London on 17 July.
The Finextra Dinner Club is an exclusive dining club at the Walbrook in the heart of City where bank executives can learn from and share experiences with their peers in a relaxed and informal setting.
Sir John will be joined by Chris Daniels, a senior manager of the Bank of England, to discuss the implications of living wills and ICB ring-fencing reforms, widely considered as the biggest structural change to the UK banking sector for decades.
Earlier this month, the Government set out the detail of its proposals to separate the riskier investment activities of banks deemed "too big to fail" from traditional high street banking.
Sir John and Mr Daniels will discuss the likely impact of the reforms on the UK financial services sector and spell out the actions which banks need to be taking to comply.
The Walbrook is a private dining club located a stone's throw away from Mansion House and Sir Christopher Wren's church of St Stephen at 37A, Walbrook, London, EC4N 8BS.
Places at the dinner are reserved for executive level professionals and senior managers involved in regulation, compliance, risk, IT and operations at banks. Attendees are individually vetted to ensure a high level of networking opportunities.Register now
