Creditcard.net domain sells for $138.000

Australian holding company Pixel Capital has paid $138.000 for the domain name creditcard.net as it bids to enter the US financial comparison market.

According to DN Journal data, the sale marks the second highest for a .net domain this year, after Cars.net which sold for $170,000 in June.

Pixel Capital founding director, Roland Bleyer, says: "We're very excited to enter the US market with Creditcard.net. Our goal is to position the site differently to existing offerings with blog based articles and valuable information about reducing debt, improving your credit rating, achieving a better credit card deal - in other words, many of the issues important to Americans today."

The Australian company's flagship brand Creditworld.com.au started as one of the first financial comparison websites in Australia in 2005 - and currently counts more than 250,000 unique visitors per month across its network.
