Giesecke & Devrient's next generation Dual Interface EMV product is the only product available today that provides all features needed for full compliance with the Durbin Amendment.

G&D's EMV products enable U.S. financial institutions to offer innovative credit and debit products as they migrate their portfolios.

Supporting both contact and contactless payment interfaces, G&D's GlobalPlatform and EMV compliant chip card platform Convego® Join includes a comprehensive range of U.S. debit EMV certified products. Convego Join is now the fastest and most secure EMV product on the market. Feedback from card issuers confirms a 50 to 70 percent increase in personalization speed compared with other products available today. Issuers and service providers value G&D's EMV card products for their best-in-class personalization speed, allowing for streamlined issuance while optimizing costs.

"The Durbin Amendment posed some challenges to the implementation of EMV debit. G&D was able to meet the required functionality to support acquirer choice at the outset. We are proud to be the first company to offer both contact and Dual Interface debit card products that fully comply with all the requirements of Durbin," said Scott Marquardt, President of G&D America. "Our market expertise gained through the delivery of nearly two billion EMV cards has enabled us to implement features to optimize flexibility, speed and security."

Capitalizing on decades of experience in other markets, G&D began providing EMV products in the U.S. in 2011 and was prepared to meet customer requirements from the outset. As customers come to fully understand the implications of the U.S. EMV migration, they increasingly are coming to G&D for products and solutions. The G&D Convego Join portfolio features the latest applications for all major payment brands including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.
