SafetyPay™, the real time safe online-banking payment solution that enables consumers to shop from merchants worldwide and pay directly from their bank account in their local currency, today announced wide availability of the service to consumers and merchants in German-speaking markets.

In addition to offering SafetyPay to the majority of online-banking customers in Germany, over 95% of banked customers in Austria can also shop securely online from local and international merchants.

"Many German and Austrian consumers are already using SafetyPay to purchase goods and services from our merchants in Europe, USA, Canada and Latin America and are paying directly from their bank accounts in Euros," said Ralf Ohlhausen, President of SafetyPay, Europe."Not only do they enjoy the convenience of the SafetyPay solution, they also appreciate what is probably the safest online payment solution available worldwide because they do not have to enter any personal data outside their trusted bank's system. Furthermore, German and Austrian merchants now have a one-stop shop to sell locally and internationally."

SafetyPay is the first online-banking payment option with connections to German and Austrian banks that enables merchants in these markets to access customers in Europe, North America and Latin America with just one contract, one bank account and one connection. Merchants benefit from guaranteed payments, low transaction costs and no chargebacks when they sell to SafetyPay's network of over 300 million customers worldwide.

German and Austrian merchants can easily connect to SafetyPay directly or through one of the company's numerous local and international Payment Service Provider (PSP) gateway partners. As SafetyPay enters new markets, German and Austrian merchants will benefit from additional market reach without requiring any technical or business changes.
