CorFire, the mobile commerce business of SK C&C USA and the leading provider of mobile technology solutions, today announced it has opened a London office, which will support customer service and business development efforts in the U.K. and throughout Europe.

According to a recent Forrester Research report, 6.8 percent of all European web sales will stem from mobile phones and mobile commerce sales will exceed $23 billion by 2017. With more than 10 years of experience of providing mobile commerce solutions in South Korea, CorFire is poised to service this growing market by delivering secure, comprehensive technology to all the players in the mobile ecosystem.

CorFire sees promise in Europe's budding mobile commerce market - in large part due to its numerous urban environments and heavy reliance on public transportation. As mobile device engagement (specifically via smartphone to access retail information) increases across Europe, mobile commerce likely will become a key revenue driver for European retailers and a useful tool for consumers.

"Mobile payments adoption in North America and Europe is beginning to take off as smartphones become an increasingly integral part of our lives," said Dr. Jae H Chung, president and CEO of CorFire. "CorFire's expansion across borders demonstrates our commitment and dedication to equipping mobile network operators, merchants and banks around the world with the solutions they need to easily and conveniently deliver the mobile lifestyle to their customers."
