payleven, Europe's mobile payments pioneer, has announced that merchants can register for the introduction of payleven's new and innovative Chip & PIN mobile payment technology.

As the first pan-European mobile payments company, payleven offers merchants the ability to accept all major debit and credit cards using a smartphone or tablet - anytime, anywhere. In Germany and England payleven is also lowering the cost per transaction to 2.75%. This makes payleven not only the most technologically advanced mobile payment provider, but also one of the most price competitive card payment services.

Chief Marketing Officer and payleven Co-Founder Konstantin Wolff: "With Chip & PIN, we are the first company in the continental European Market to offer a complete solution for all major debit and credit cards. With it we are now offering a more attractive price. This makes us the best possible partner for mobile payment, focusing on smaller and mobile professionals."

Merchants can pre-register for the Chip & PIN device at payleven.com/chipandpin. The compact, supplementary device connects via Bluetooth to a smartphone or tablet and allows customers to enter a personal PIN on a small keypad, making mobile payments as secure as standard card terminals. Other mobile payment providers remain focused on the signature based solutions which do not offer customers the ability to enter a personal PIN. For security reasons, card schemes such as VISA require PIN technology for mobile payments.

In Germany and England, payleven transaction costs have now been reduced to 2.75% per transaction. All other conditions remain unchanged: no monthly fee, no minimum charge and no hidden costs - the merchant is charged only on a transaction basis. To start using payleven, just download the free payleven app and order your free Swipe & Sign card reader and pre-register for Chip & PIN.
