Micropross announced a collaboration with Renesas Electronics Corporation, a premier provider of advanced semiconductor solutions, for the supply of test equipment, to perform qualification of Renesas' future NFC products.
Tools that will be supplied include ISO 10373-6, EMVCo and NFC Forum analog test benches, manipulation robots (Microbot) as well as protocol analysers (MP300 ACL1).
Takashi Tsukamoto, Department Manager of Security Technology Development Department, Secure MCU Business Division for Renesas Electronics Corporation said : "We have a long time experience in the usage of Micropross solutions. We have always been satisfied of those tools, from both a quality and support point of view, and it was natural to continue with Micropross for the validation of our NFC related products."
Philippe Bacle, CEO of Micropross, added : "I am delighted about this decision by Renesas. Supplying quality test equipment to semi-conductor giants has always been in the DNA of Micropross, and we are very excited to continue to support Renesas in their new challenges."
Present in Japanese market for more than a decade through local distributor Altech, Micropross has always been able to propose tools that meet the needs of this very technologically advanced market. Latest innovations such as the MP300 ACL1 (non-intrusive NFC spy tool) or the Contactless Test Station received a tremendous reception on this market for R&D purposes, and combined with the dominant market share inside production factories, and test laboratories, we are proud to say that Micropross is present at every stages of the life of a smartcard or NFC device in the Japanese market.
