This bridge will enable clients using the OpenMAMA API, including NYSE Technologies' SuperFeed and Enterprise Software clients, to gain direct systems access to Bloomberg data, including data from their Bloomberg Terminal.

The launch of this production ready bridge allows OpenMAMA and NYSE Technologies' clients to use the new Bloomberg adapter to connect to the Bloomberg Open API via Tick42's bridge, bringing Bloomberg data into their applications, rather than having to code to the Bloomberg Open API separately. This connects the two major open source initiatives in the market: OpenMAMA led by NYSE Technologies, and Open Bloomberg, headed by Bloomberg LP.

Whilst major players in the market data arena pursue their own development plans and do not formally interact, smaller innovative technology vendors, like Tick42, are typically playing an important role in facilitating the interaction between vendors.

OpenMAMA users will be able to use the Tick42 Bloomberg Bridge for OpenMAMA to access real-time market data, delayed market data and reference data from Bloomberg via the Bloomberg Terminal, SAPI or a Managed B-Pipe.
