CIBC works with Tsys on mobile NFC payments

Tsys (TSS) announced today the introduction of its Near-Field Communication (NFC) capabilities in North America in preparation of a launch with CIBC.

The TSYS NFC Payment Solution enables real-time mobile account creation, mobile device identification, and supports generating the EMV data necessary for provisioning a mobile device.

"This is yet another step in delivering on our agenda for Connected Mobility announced earlier this year," said Paul Bridgewater, group executive of Global Product, TSYS. "We are proud to partner with a market-leading, innovative issuer like CIBC."

TSYS' solution also supports life-cycle management scenarios, such as lost/stolen and the re-provisioning for reissue or product change. The TSYS NFC Payment Solution will work with any Trusted Service Manager (TSM) selected by an issuer.
