Payment security specialist Foregenix announces the opening of its South African office, based in Johannesburg.

The expansion follows significant growth in the company's payment card industry customer base in the region and will be led by Foregenix director, Andrew Henwood.

Foregenix has quickly established a reputation for providing an experienced, thorough and pragmatic approach to navigating PCI Compliance and to integrating the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) within an overall information security programme. With the increased awareness of PCI within the region, Foregenix has experienced increased demand to deliver its full suite of information security consulting services and innovative compliance solutions to the Southern African payment card industry.

"The expansion into Southern Africa will provide dedicated local resources to new customers and to our existing clients, which currently include banking institutions, service providers and merchants. Our aim is to provide companies with the best possible service to help protect their sensitive data and to meet regulatory requirements such as the PCI DSS," says Andrew Henwood, Director at Foregenix.
