Aldermore Bank Plc, the British bank seeking to shake-up the business savings market, and Ubiquiem, an innovative provider of multichannel banking software solutions, today jointly announce that the bank is using Ubiquiem's flagship product, Tornado.

Aldermore, one of Britain's leading challenger banks, has launched a range of new business savings accounts, paying market leading rates and offering online opening and access.

Ubiquiem's Tornado provides a truly online experience, enabling accounts to be opened in less than 15 minutes. In addition to customer on-boarding, the solution provides full Internet banking capabilities. The bank's UK based call centre is also powered by Tornado, allowing the bank's staff to effectively and efficiently service customer requests.

Al Southall, Aldermore's CIO said: "We chose Ubiquiem because we recognised the need for excellent technology to provide our customers with great products and an outstanding service." "This is only the start of what we expect to be an exciting venture offering an unparalleled user experience tailored with the SME in mind".

"As champion of British SMEs, partnering with an innovative new British SME in the Financial Technology space was an additional bonus" added Southall.

Marc Vernet, Ubiquiem commented: "Making banking effortless is much harder than it looks. Tornado however helps to simplify the business of banking by combining case management and comprehensive banking capability with good design and usability and consequently reduces the time business owners need to spend banking. At Aldermore we have provided an elegant channel solution to the core banking system, Temenos T24.
